Catalytic Leadership

"Too often, approaches to leadership place greater significance on leaders rather than followers. After all, the leader is the one 'guiding, directing, and moving.'  However, in order to be leading, someone has to be following.  Otherwise, leadership doesn't exist at all.  Thus, followers should be leadership's first consideration."

Focus on these six "catalytic-leadership imperatives" elevates the interests of followers and broadens acceptance of an organization's purpose, principles, and plans.  In such an environment, Phil contends that people tend to look beyond their own self-interests for the good of the group.

Key

Resulting from his graduate studies and years of workplace experiences, Phil has developed a personal  CATALYTIC LEADERSHIP model, a facilitative, follower-focused approach for moving things forward and getting things done.

"A catalyst prompts change.  Likewise, catalyst-leaders work intently to stimulate a 'change reaction' within people and within the organizations for which they serve."

The Six Imperatives of Catalytics Leadership

"Fundamentally, results are primarily determined by the attitudes and activities of people.  Here's the key:  A leader needs to remember it's not about the leader. Rather, success is determined by the creativity, innovation, and synergy generated from the collective efforts of leaders and followers."
